I wore this outfit a while back—before my 30 for 30 actually. I copied this from an outfit Kristen Bell’s character wears in the movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”. The edited version has been on TV like a dozen times in the last couple of months. I watch parts of it every time I stumble upon it because it’s quite funny. This is my version of the outfit “Sarah” wears when she breaks up with her boyfriend. I like the classic simplicity of it. Plus it looks like I’m ready to go ride a horse and I love horses. I love riding horses!
“Sarah” also had her hair pinned back cute in the break up scene. So I did my two minute version, but I didn’t feel like having my hair down (which is nothing new).
Instead of my usual pony, I put a different “twist” on it.
As for accessories…some sassy earrings and a belt.
And what I think makes this outfit…the boots. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, and I’ll keep saying it—oh how I love boots. I will miss you boots as we enter warm season. I will tuck you carefully away in your special boxes and nestle you on my closet shelf, until the fall. Don’t worry—I will never forget you.
Question: Who thinks the fashion will remain to wear boots OUTSIDE of our pants and jeans next fall/winter season? My husband is ready for it to be over. I hope it stays. What do you say?

I wear my boots under my pantleg. (I only have 1 pair of boots)
My jeans are not tight to the ankle. so I don't think they'd fit tucked into my boots (which fit snuggly against my leg).
I like the under the pant leg look anyway.
I did wear them once with brown leggings and a sweater-tunic-dress (sleevless).
