Healthy and Happy Coloring Page
I created this coloring page to follow the handout suggestion at the end of the lesson:
Give each child a smiling face to remind them that they are happier when they choose healthy foods to eat.
They can color the faces (one for boys, one for girls) to look like them and also write their name at the bottom.

I am a mascara addict! As a natural blonde my eyelashes are practically
invisible (as you can see below) without mascara, and I almost never go a day
without wearing any. Through the years I’ve been loyal to a particular brand
because I like the results of their mascaras. However, I am always open to try
something new to get that ultimate lash look.
I’ve been curious about the 3D Amber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-56337104152546071002013-02-01T14:48:00.001-06:002015-02-02T15:48:01.106-06:0016 Low Cost Family Dinners
After the first week of January was over and the kids were back in school, the normal life of 2013 began. I decided to kick if off with my number one goal this year: SAVE MONEY!!
I assessed my 2012 spending budget and realized that most my spending was in two places (Costco is exempt): 1. The grocery store and 2. Target.
Immediately I vowed to not step inside a Target for the Amber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-81959014877518668692012-12-16T08:00:00.000-06:002012-12-17T18:14:01.503-06:00A monumental first In all the history of this little family of five we have constructed our very first “Gingerbread” house! Actually, it was the four of us since Daddy was away on business in D.C. And if you count the one construction worker who felt it was necessary to taste test every type of candy we had to put on the house (I guess he was part of the Health and Safety Department), then it was the threeAmber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-92137287732665136342012-12-14T08:00:00.000-06:002012-12-17T16:54:07.647-06:00Tape Trap Snowy is showing his mischievous side once again. Or, maybe he just doesn’t want the boys to go to school today. Just because it’s Friday does not mean school doesn’t matter (which was my motto only half the time in college). I wonder what they will think about this! It looks like the fact that we do not have a star a top our tree bothers Snowy. He took one of our normal smaller star tree ornaments and sat with it at our very tippy top. Thank you for the subtle reminder Snowy! He must have heard the not so subtle reminders my boys have been giving me ;) Amber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-18579025131616224182012-12-11T08:00:00.000-06:002012-12-17T15:53:08.088-06:00Pious Elf Snowy the Elf spent the night among the sheep and the donkeys as he showed his respect to our Nativity. We even left a teeny tiny note to the boys admiring the hard work and service they did for their Mommy over the weekend to clean the house for family guests. He encouraged them to keep it up. He poured the boys some cereal…elf style. Marshmellows only! It must have something to do with our six year old making a comment the night before how he likes Lucky Charms but would love it if he could eat only the marshmellows.  Apparently Snowy is listening very carefully ;) Amber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-1417211799159870222012-12-07T08:00:00.000-06:002012-12-10T22:29:39.336-06:00Welcome Elf on the Shelf Despite my apprehension of a small doll-like figure lurking around on shelves and getting into mischief as the family slept, Elf on the Shelf has become a part of our family Christmas spirit experience as of yesterday.  The boys had been coming home every day the first week of December with thrilling stories of their friends’ Elf on the Shelf mischief.  Finally my eight year old Amber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-91075856532518000472012-12-04T08:00:00.000-06:002012-12-10T21:33:06.034-06:00HERSHEY’S “Perfectly Chocolate” Chocolate Chip Cookies with Peppermint Kisses                       Every Monday night for the month of December we decided to do something “Christmassy” for Family Home Evening. I felt like as soon as I put my festive harvest décor up, I was just as soon taking it down. Next year I’ve decided to put up some of the festive harvest subtlety intermixed with the Halloween décor as a general “Fall Season” theme so I can enjoy my favorite time of year longer.
Thanksgiving Feast was at our home this year, which was a special Amber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-8980231363335477372012-10-19T15:29:00.001-05:002012-10-19T15:32:54.351-05:00Thanks Pinterest {Easy Bread & Cheesecake}Two items I’ve made from Pinterest lately! My sister and I have started a new “side” blog! We would love it if you visited and even decided to follow along :)
The blog is called “Mommy Mirror diaries.” It is a blog dedicated to the outfits we wear as everyday mothers. It’s not high fashion or anything but it is our fashion. She and I used to share all our clothes, but now with 1,400 miles between her closet and mine it's impossible to Amber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-69520689086079145492012-10-10T13:26:00.001-05:002012-10-10T14:31:07.264-05:00His and Hers Halloween Decor It is my favorite time of the year. The temperatures cool, the leaves change, boots, pumpkin everything, and down from the attic come the 35 boxes of holiday decorations for the next three months. Thirty days each to enjoy Halloween Décor, Thanksgiving Décor, and Christmas Décor.  If you know my husband and I, or have been reading my blog for a while, you know that we are HUGE festive Amber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-91386302470059548162012-08-31T08:00:00.000-05:002012-08-31T08:00:03.889-05:00Lego Discovery This begins in the Lego aisle with my three-year-old begging for a Star Wars Lego set that we already have. “We already have those Legos at home. Somewhere. Mommy can find them an build it again for you.” He doesn’t understand, and we leave the aisle with the whole store wondering why that mom just doesn’t buy the $12.99 set and let everyone shop in peace. Writing When I used to get paid (with real life dollars—a good amount of them!) for writing. Now I get “paid” in comments (and not very many of them) and personal satisfaction (which I guess is priceless) for writing my own blog. However, there is just something special about seeing your “byline” in print, and to know that as a published writer your work is still floating out there in the world wide Amber http://www.blogger.com/profile/08539194703218352209noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1785147495305592373.post-89948905764888117562012-08-05T21:25:00.000-05:002012-08-06T21:26:43.160-05:005. Coin This was a lot of coin. What it lacks in looks it makes up for in taste! I came away from Disneyland craving two things. (Other then being an enchanted princess.) First was fudge.  In main street they have the best candy store—Candy Palace. I believe it is where all the princesses go for their sugar fix and magically never get fat.
