On my Facebook account this morning, my sassy-classy sister Melody (she really is, like all the time) sent me a message about, well, you just read it:
Remember the game last year about what color bra you were wearing at the moment? The purpose was to increase awareness of October Breast Cancer Awareness month. It was a tremendous success and we had men wondering for days what was with the colors and it made it to the news. This year's game has to do with your handbag/purse, where we put our handbag the moment we get home, for example "I like it on the couch", "I like it on the kitchen counter", "I like it on the dresser" well you get the idea. Just put your answer as your status with nothing more than that and cut and paste this message and forward to all your FB female friends to their inbox. The bra game made it to the news. Let's see how powerful we women really are!!! REMEMBER - DO NOT PUT YOUR ANSWER AS A REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE- PUT IT IN YOUR STATUS!!! PASS THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOWSo if you have a Facebook account, show us where you like it, or be like me and also blog about it! Before you do, check out the NetworkedBlogs widget right over there to your right on my blog and click “Follow this Blog”.
With all this talk about…purses/handbags. I thought it was time for a seasonal change. In the spring I read a book about having personal style and the author said that purses should be your “social barometer”, I still don’t really understand what that means, but she did recommend to break out of our boring comfort zone and NOT have a black purse/handbag (which I did at the time). So, I did some online browsing and found this great website for discounted purses. I’m talking $80 purses for $20! That’s where I got the purse shown above. No joke, I get complimented on it everywhere I go. I did just last Saturday at Home Depot! But I’m thinking the metallic blue is a little too summery for the Fall season so let me show you what I found.
I’m buying it.
