Halloween Tradition

Even if it’s at our local grocery store, at 8:00 pm no less, by golly, we will pick out our pumpkins as a family. One for each boy. It’s tradition.

Normally we make a family outing of it and drive into the country to a quaint pumpkin patch. We take the hayride, we get lost in the corn maze, we take fifty photos (maybe more), and walk away with three absurdly over priced pumpkins. This year that was not in the cards for us.

Instead we went to soccer practice, then swung by Kroger and picked out three pumpkins at $3.88 each.  To make it a little more special we went through the McDonalds drive thru on the way home and got milkshakes. But hey, the boys loved it nonetheless! You keep tradition the best you can : )

There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. "
