Road Trip to California (almost)

Bright and early in the morning of July 5th. We loaded up the car with myself, Colton, Rylan, Summer, Grandparents Blair, 6 suitcases, one stroller, and one dog for a two day road trip to Cali.

The boys were great travelers, and Grandpa was a good sport about sitting in the back seat, which he took the opportunity to teach Rylan about electricity, trains, and all sorts of things, for almost the entire state of New Mexico. Rylan was very interested. Colton resorted to some “alone” time while watching a movie under his blanket. Poor Summer was car sick, so I gave her some of my nausea prescription medicine and it knocked her right out.  The more west we got the cooler the temperature was and my Texas blood boys were chilly. By the end of road trip day one we were happy to sleep in a hotel that was safe and allowed dogs [insert long story].

It was a fun and memorable trip. Dad says, Where is the side story about the dog?

There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. "
