My Sunday Best: In 10 minutes

This really should not be considered Sunday “Best”, since I got ready in 10 minutes…hence the hair and lack of makeup. But, at least I pulled together a decent outfit thanks to some old standby’s—a pretty skirt, sassy shoes, and chunky accessory.

When I say “old” standby, I really mean old, like 12 years old, like before babies, and marriage and even meeting my hubby! That’s how long ago I bought this skirt—from the Gap when the Gap used to make not boring stuff.  (Sorry to you Gap lovers, I just have not been impressed in the last couple of years during the three times I have visited.)
My sister Melody used to work at the Gap during her Senior year in High School so I mooched off her discount often. Not much lasted all these years except this skirt, and another one in brown polka dots, the pair of pants I wore on my first date with my husband, and two cable knit sweaters.
Through the years I have grown out and in of this skirt, literally. Sometimes I can zip it up, sometimes I can’t. I only wear it in October, so each October it’s a gamble. This year was a good year :)
Fun Fact: I did not even know about the Gap until MY Junior Year in High School, and I did not purchase anything from the Gap until I was in college and nearly everyone I knew wore stuff from there! The same thing goes for Abercrombie and J. Crew! I had no clue until all my preppy college friends (which were guys mostly) shopped there. I have yet to own anything from J. Crew, but I did buy a pair of jeans from Abercrombie once upon a time.  That’d be a hoot to see if those still fit!
In other non silly personal fashion news, we got our pumpkins yesterday!

A few things:

1) your legs look sexy and tan
2) I worked at Gap after I graduated high school
3) I think I worked at Gap during their experimental years

"Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. "
