I have been reading a book series recommended by my sister. The first book is title "A Great and Terrible Beauty" by Libba Bray. It is a tale of magic, mystery, and a little romance. I just started the third and final book and I am very intrigued already, each book seems to make the story better. The series is a Teen Novel, but it is "mature" in some parts. I definitely recommend it though.
This video is The 2006 Teen Book Video Awards Winner and kind of previews the book. (It is not a movie preview, although it would make a very cool movie.)
"Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. "
I am a Stay-at-Home Mom, blessed with three handsome boys under the age of ten and one charming husband. I like to bake, clean (sometimes), I curse laundry, and love being girly. I insist on keeping my toenails painted and wearing lipgloss. I strive to be a sassy, yet classy woman, but sometimes I'm just a goofy mommy.
