For the Ta-Ta's

This Saturday we woke up at the crack of dawn to participate in the Fort Worth Susan Comen Breast Cancer Walk/Run. We did it as a family to support Sean's mother, Chris, 55, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last November. She had a mascetomy and is now undergoing aggressive chemotherapy. The cancer should be completely clear from her body now and hopefully forever. She is an amazing strong, positive, fighter of a woman. She is a survivor!! Colton loved the "race" and ran full speed the last strech as soon as he saw the finish line. Sean and I had to weave in and out of the people while running with our strollers to keep up. Colton was convinced he won! I would have gotten it on camera but I was too busy trying to not lose him in the crowd. But here is a picture of Chris (holding her husband Mark's hand), along with Aunt Jo, Uncle Don, Great Grandma Jones (pushing Cooper in the stroller), Stacy is beside me taking a picture also, so we can't see her. Sean is somewhere reigning in the boys.

On our way back to the car, I saw this bumper sticker. LOVE IT!

"Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. "
