Rylan's First Birthday

Happy 1st Birthday, Rylan!

On November 21st Rylan celebrated his first birthday. It's crazy to think that one year ago I was enjoying a turkey dinner in the hospital bed with my sweet little baby bundle Rylan to keep me company. Oh, how time flies! This year we had a special birthday because we could celebrate it at the Lytle home in Ohio. Grandma and Grandpa Blair, Aunt Summer and Heather, Uncle Joel, cousins Gabriel, Mason, and Emrie were all there to sing Happy Birthday and eat cupcakes with us. Rylan was so excited to be able to rip open the presents.
Thank you to Aunt Jo, Stacy-Dustin-Cooper, and Grandma Blair for the gifts.
When it came to birthday candle time, Rylan was fascinated. He wanted to touch the flame. His brother Colton helped him blow out the candle. At first he was timid about eating the cupcake--he didn't like the frosting on his fingers and kept putting them out to me so I could wipe them off. But once he tasted how good the sticky frosting was, he didn't mind and took a big bite and LOVED IT!

"Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. "
